Please read before you buy
We keep your card on file, and you agree to that when you buy your first label. If Canada Post weighs or measures your parcel and it doesn't match what you declared, they bill us the difference — and we charge that difference straight to your card on file, without asking again first.
This is the only thing we ever charge you for beyond the $6. We email you a copy of Canada Post's adjustment and what we billed, every time. If you think an adjustment is wrong, reply to that email and we'll take it up with Canada Post on your behalf.
The way to never see one of these: weigh the finished, sealed parcel on a scale before you buy the label.
Before you ask
Canada Post catches it at scanning and bills us the difference between the $6 label and what the parcel should have cost at its real weight or size. We then charge that amount to the card you have on file with us, without asking you again first. You get an email with Canada Post's adjustment and the amount we billed, every time. Weigh the finished parcel before you buy — box, filler and tape included. If you're regularly near the line, a kitchen scale pays for itself in a week.
Yes, we keep your card on file, and you agree to that when you buy your first label. We charge it for two things and nothing else: the $6 plus tax for each label you buy, and any weight or size adjustment Canada Post bills us for a parcel you shipped. Adjustments are charged at cost, at whatever Canada Post charged us, and always with an email showing you their adjustment alongside what we billed. You can remove your card any time from your account, though you'll need to add one again to buy your next label — and removing it doesn't cancel adjustments already owed on parcels in the network.
Yes. Reply to the adjustment email and we'll take it up with Canada Post on your behalf. They do occasionally mis-scan, and their measurement is what we're billed on, so a successful challenge has to go through them. If Canada Post reverses the adjustment, we refund you in full to the same card.
Canada Post's. Every Post Runners label is a genuine Canada Post Xpresspost pre-paid label — same network, same trucks, same tracking number your recipient would get at the counter. We buy the postage and hand you the label; Canada Post carries the parcel.
Yes. Xpresspost carries Canada Post's tracking on every item, so you get the same scan events as a counter shipment — accepted, in transit, out for delivery, delivered. Your tracking number is printed on the label and emailed with it, and you can follow it on canadapost.ca or through our emailed updates.
Our own limit is the binding one: 1 kg for the finished parcel. Underneath that, Canada Post's Xpresspost maximums apply — no single dimension over 2 m, length plus girth no more than 3 m. Anything unusually shaped or rigid can attract Canada Post's additional handling surcharge, so keep parcels boxed and regular.
Xpresspost is Canada Post's expedited service: typically next business day within the same city or region, and about two business days nationally between major centres. Rural, remote and northern destinations take longer. Those are Canada Post's delivery standards, not a promise from us — weather, volume and postal disruptions move them.
Xpresspost includes Canada Post liability coverage up to $100 per item, and carries their on-time delivery guarantee. Because the parcel travels on a Canada Post label, claims are made with Canada Post — email us with your tracking number and we'll give you the claim details and everything on file from our end. Keep your proof of value and a photo of the packed parcel; both get asked for.
Not right now. Post Runners is domestic Xpresspost only, which is exactly why the price stays flat. Xpresspost – USA and Xpresspost – International are different services with different rate tables.
